Effects of Regulation (EEC) 2078/92 on citrus growing in Calabria (Italy) and the Region of Valencia (Spain)
Abstract
The aim of this article was to compare the adoption of organic agriculture and integrated pest management practices by citrus growers in Calabria (Italy) and the Region of Valencia (Spain) after the introduction of Regulation (EEC) 2078/92. Citriculture is of great social and economic importance in both these regions. The study examines how the size of the subsidies that producers receive, or the conditions established as part of the regional programs, may lead to very different results even within the framework of the Common Agricultural Policy.Downloads
